About Me.
Hello there. My name is Kenneth Chun-An Su. I immigrated to Los Angeles from Taipei, Taiwan, in December 2016. Although adapting to a new culture and language presented challenges, these experiences have fueled my determination to succeed. Now, after living in the United States for over six years, I am a proud United States citizen seeking opportunities to achieve my dreams in pursuing my passion for engineering.
In Spring 2018, I began my higher education journey at Rio Hondo College, initially focusing on Computer Science with an interest in robotics and machine learning. However, my growing interest in mechatronics, particularly control, simulation, and hardware-based robotics, led me to switch to Mechanical Engineering. Recognizing the significant undertaking, I embraced the challenge, committing myself to dedicated effort and perseverance.
I am now on a journey at UC San Diego to pursue a B.S. in Mechanical. My long-term goal in STEM is to continuously expand my knowledge and expertise, contributing to the field through research. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to step outside my comfort zone and embrace new challenges, and I am eager to continue such opportunities. I am particularly interested in roles in space missions to develop, design, and maintain the mechanical systems that enable spacecraft to operate safely and effectively, including life support, thermal control, and robotics mechanisms. I am always open to connecting with fellow engineers.
